This preview introduced WeavingGem as a weaving pattern app with a built-in draft editor. Fewer trips back to the computer for small changes, and one path from draft to cloth on iPhone or iPad. You can still open a WIF from Fiberworks, Bower, or a pattern library when that is how you design.
Create a weaving draft without desktop software
Start a weaving pattern on iPhone or iPad from finished size, sett, structure, and loom. Or open a draft you already have and edit it in the same app.
Edit threading, tie-up, and treadling in one place
Paint the draft on one unified, intuitive canvas and watch the textile design update as you change it. Colour warp and weft to match yarn in your stash. On iPad, Apple Pencil works on the same canvas. Save, then move into Warp, Thread, or Weave so design and tracking stay together.
Check warp length before you measure yarn
Project Calculator estimates how much warp yarn you need before you pull cones from the shelf. Enter quantity, sample, loom waste, take-up, and finishing terms. Draft size and sett stay as they are on the draft.
