A weaving tracker is a tool that keeps the current thread, treadle, shaft lift, or pick visible while you work. It can be as simple as a sticky note, a counter, or a physical treadle tracker. WeavingGem brings that familiar idea to your iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.
It is not drafting software. WeavingGem helps after you already have a draft or pattern, when the real task is staying oriented at the loom.

Some weavers design every draft themselves. Others start with inspiration from Handweaving.net, Handwoven Magazine, a guild library, a class handout, a teacher, or a purchased WIF pattern.
WeavingGem fits both workflows. Design in Fiberworks, Bower, TempoWeave, WeaveIt, or another drafting tool, or import a compatible WIF from a pattern source. Then use WeavingGem to track the weaving itself.
A simple workflow
- Find or design a weaving draft.
- Open the WIF in WeavingGem from Files, AirDrop, email, or iCloud Drive.
- Check colors and loom setup before you start.
- Track threading and weaving progress at the loom.

No. WeavingGem is for tracking the physical work of weaving after you already have a draft or pattern. Design in your preferred drafting software or use a pattern library, then weave with WeavingGem.
Can I use WIF files from pattern libraries?
Yes. WeavingGem imports standard .wif files from Files, AirDrop, email, or iCloud Drive. You can use WIF drafts from compatible pattern libraries, teachers, guilds, or drafting tools.
Does WeavingGem work without Wi-Fi?
Yes. Drafts and progress stay on your device, so you can weave at the loom without Wi-Fi or an account.
Can I track threading and treadling separately?
Yes. Open a draft and choose Thread when you are dressing the loom, or Weave when you are ready to track picks at the loom.
