How do I use the Apple Watch companion?
- Start a session on iPhone. Open Thread or Weave in WeavingGem. The watch follows the session you have open. Apple Watch pairs with iPhone only, not iPad.
- Open WeavingGem on your Apple Watch. Check your place and advance with a tap (or swipe to reverse). On supported watches with watchOS 11 or later, Double Tap can advance hands-free.
- Install if needed. On iPhone, open the Watch app → Available Apps → WeavingGem → Install.
Tip
Keep Screen Awake (on by default in Session settings) helps the iPhone stay available for Watch sync while you weave.
Library and Settings live on iPhone and iPad only. The Apple Watch companion needs an active session on iPhone. See also the Double Tap update.
