Can I weave from a lift plan or table loom WIF?

Yes. When you open a WIF file that uses a lift plan, WeavingGem shows which shafts to lift for each pick, instead of which treadle to press.

What is a lift plan?

A lift plan lists the shafts to raise for each pick, instead of a tie-up and treadling. Weavers often use them for table looms and dobby looms, where you lift shafts directly. The WIF guide explains the difference in more detail.

How do I set up my loom for a lift plan?

In Settings, under Loom Setup, choose Shafts. A lift plan has no treadling, so the Treadles view isn't available for these drafts. Then choose jack or counterbalance, so the beads match whether your shed rises or sinks.
