What is jack loom vs counterbalance in WeavingGem?
In Settings → Loom Setup, tell WeavingGem how your loom behaves so treadling matches what you press.
- Jack loom: rising shed.
- Counterbalance (and similar sinking sheds): sinking shed.
- Choose whether the weave session shows Treadles or Shafts.
Lift-plan WIF files do not include a treadling matrix. WeavingGem shows shaft lifts only for those drafts. See How do lift-plan WIF files work in WeavingGem?.
