What is jack loom vs counterbalance in WeavingGem?
In Settings → Loom Setup, choose how your loom sheds so the on-screen treadling matches what you press.
- Jack loom: rising shed.
- Counterbalance (and similar sinking sheds): sinking shed.
- Choose whether the weave session shows Treadles or Shafts.
Some WIF files are lift plans and do not include a treadling matrix. For those drafts, WeavingGem shows shaft lifts only. See How do lift-plan WIF files work in WeavingGem?.
