Pro and purchases

What is included with free WeavingGem vs Pro?

The free version of WeavingGem lets you try it on a real project at the loom before you spend anything. It has a limit on how many patterns you can add. Pro removes that limit.

What do I get for free?

The free app comes with one sample pattern so you can see how tracking feels. You can also make two drafts of your own and import two WIF files.

Every pattern in your library gets the full set of tools. You can track your warp, threading, and treadling. You can use voice control and the Apple Watch. You can change colours and edit a draft you already have. None of that ever costs extra.

What does Pro add?

Pro is for weavers who want to keep a growing library. It removes the limits on drafts and WIF imports. It also lets you duplicate a pattern, which is handy when you want to try a new colourway without touching the original.

You buy Pro inside the WeavingGem app, and Apple handles the payment. There are two options. Lifetime is a one-time purchase, and it is offered at a Founder's Discount while the app is new. Annual is a subscription that renews each year until you cancel it in your iPhone or iPad settings. Both include the same features.

WeavingGem will offer Pro when you reach a free limit. You can also upgrade any time from the app's settings. If you get a new device or reinstall the app, your purchase comes back with you. The restore purchases guide explains how.

How much does Pro cost?

Apple sets the price for each country, so it can differ from what a friend in another country pays. The app always shows your price before you buy. In some places, like Canada and the United States, sales tax is added at checkout.

Apple handles all payments and billing for WeavingGem. If you have a question about a charge, a receipt, or a subscription, Apple Billing Support can help.
