How do I start tracking a weaving project in WeavingGem?
Open WeavingGem on your iPhone or iPad, open the sample pattern, and choose Warp, Thread, or Weave. Coloured beads show the next ends or picks, so you can keep your place at the loom.
What should I try first?
Start with the sample pattern in your library. It lets you try warping, threading, and weaving without using up any of your free drafts or imports.
- Open WeavingGem. The first time, you may see a short Welcome screen. You can close it and find it again later from the gear.
- Tap the sample pattern.
- Choose Warp, Thread, or Weave.
How do I add my own pattern?
Tap Create to build a draft in the app, or Open WIF File to bring in a pattern you already have.
The free version includes two drafts of your own and two WIF imports. The WIF import guide and the free vs Pro guide have the details.
Will WeavingGem remember my place?
Yes. Your place is saved on your device. You can close the app, open the same pattern later, and carry on where you left off.

For a short walkthrough, tap the gear on the home screen and choose How to Use WeavingGem.
