How do I get started with WeavingGem?
Here is a calm path for your first time in the app.
- Open WeavingGem on iPhone or iPad. The first time, you may see a short Welcome screen about the free try and WeavingGem Pro. You can dismiss it and return later from the gear.
- Open a sample pattern from your library. Samples are there so you can try warping, threading, and weaving without using up your free Create or import openings.
- Tap the pattern, then choose Warp, Thread, or Weave. Coloured beads show the next ends or picks so you can keep your place at the loom.
- When you are ready for your own projects, tap Create to build a draft right on your screen, or Open WIF File to bring in a pattern from your computer or a library. Free includes two Create Drafts (or Duplicates) and two WIF imports. See How do I import a WIF draft into my library? and free vs Pro.
Tip
Your place saves on the device. Close the app, open the same pattern later, and continue where you left off. For a short walkthrough, tap the gear on the home screen and choose How to Use WeavingGem.
