How do counting-thread and bout reminders work?

In a Warp session, open Settings (cog) → Warp Focus to set how many ends you advance at a time, and optional milestone reminders while you wind.

Counting thread

Turn Counting Thread on and choose an interval (for example, every 10 ends). When you reach that end, WeavingGem shows a clear Place counting thread reminder with a distinct chime so you can mark the count in your warp.

Bout size

Turn Bout on and set a bout size (stepping by 10). When you reach the end of a bout, WeavingGem reminds you so you can pause or adjust your winding as you prefer.

What the reminders do not decide

Reminders mark where you are in the color order. They do not tell you how to cut, tie, park, or wrap yarn. Those choices stay yours.

If you change Warp Focus settings mid-session, WeavingGem may warn you that the change affects the live group. Confirm if you want the new settings applied right away.

Tip

New patterns default counting thread to every 10 ends. You can turn reminders off any time in Warp Focus settings.
